Internet Dating Author at Writers in the Sky

Thanks to Yvonne Perry for having me as a guest on her Writers in the Sky blog yesterday! It was a blast. Yvonne is a wonderful interviewer and has done a lot over the years for writers. I am grateful to know her.

Kevin Jonas Engaged

Congratulations to Kevin Jonas! He just got engaged to his girlfriend Danielle Deleasa yesterday.

Apparently he surprised her by "showing up at her doorstep in New Jersey early Wednesday morning and dropping down to his knee to ask her to marry him. Presented with a cushion-cut diamond ring that Jonas designed with Jacob & Co."

Nice form, man! Very sweet.

Bradley Cooper and Renee Zellweger Go Out

As if Bradley Cooper hadn't made himself clear about the fact that he and Jen Aniston are just friends, now he's been spotted out with Renee Zellweger.

I figure that there is one of several reasons for this:

• he's playing the field
• he's just pals with a lot of gals
• he's got a secret romance that he doesn't want anyone to know about so he's seen with these other chicks instead
• he's trying to promote his latest movie
• he likes being in the tabloids

Or something like that. If you're Jen Aniston these days, either you are blowing off all the tabloid coverage or are ticked that you are constantly being upstaged. Oh the Hollywood life!

Melissa Rycroft Getting Married

People reports that Bachelor and Dancing With the Stars alum Melissa Rycroft is getting married. She's been dating beau Tye Strickland for "on and off" for over two years.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo Break Up

Can't say this is too much of a surprise: Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have broken up.

They both seem like nice people and certainly dated for a long time (by Hollywood standards anyhow!) but she was a rebound girl for him. Dontcha think?

Bradley Cooper and Jen Aniston: Just Friends?

You know, Jennifer Aniston cannot catch a break when it comes to guys. First, it's the up and down thing with John Mayer (or should I say break up to make up thing?) Then it's this latest rumor with Bradley Cooper.

Then met on the set of He's Just Not That Into You. They flirted at a party. They had dinner. But when asked if the two are dating, he says:

"She's a friend of mine. Simply, simply, just a friend."

Now, they could be trying to keep things quiet until they get more serious. But given Jen's romantic history, I don't think this is the case. So I wonder, WHAT is the deal with these guys she's dating? Or is it her? Does she expect too much from a relationship? Sabotage the thing before it can even get off the ground?

Matthew McConaughey to Be a Daddy Again

Congratulations to Matthew McConaughey and his girlfriend Camila Alves! The two are expecting their second child together.

They have an 11-month old son Levi, and when announcing the new baby said that they "pulled off the greatest miracle in the world one more time."

Congratulations to the happy couple! That's great news indeed.

How Simon Proposed to Alex

I'm a fan of The Real Housewives of New York, so when I noticed Alex McCord and other celebs talking about how they were proposed to, it certainly caught my eye.

Alex said:

"We were on a nude beach and I rolled over on top of her and said, 'Nothing would make me more happy than if you would spend the rest of your life with me.'" McCord added: "And I remember I said something really inane like, 'Oh, that sounds good.' "

I'm not sure what bothers me more about that statement.... that they were at a nude beach and he rolled on top of her, or that she used the word "inane." Seriously, don't you love the Van Kempens? I think Simon might be my favorite on the show. I'm just saying!

Jon and Kate Gosselin File for Divorce

It's over. After much speculation, Jon and Kate Gosselin have filed divorce papers today for a legal split at the Bucks County Courthouse in Reading, Pa., Monday afternoon.

Our hearts go out to the entire family.
